Nature Walk & Cyanotype Printing with Carleen A Mindful Micro-Retreat at Yoga Barn (2.5 hrs) Join us for a nourishing experience that blends the grounding practices of mindfulness, nature connection, and creative expression. We’ll begin with an outdoor centering practice to awaken the senses and deepen our presence. From there, we’ll take a relaxed, guided walk along the B&A Trail, observing shape, texture, and plant life as we mindfully gather natural materials for our artwork. After the walk, we’ll return to the barn to explore the art of cyanotype printing — a simple yet magical process that uses sunlight to capture the shadows of gathered objects on fabric and paper. This hands-on practice is accessible to all levels and invites intuitive exploration, moments of awe, and a deepened sense of place. As your prints emerge, so too may a quiet sense of wonder and creative renewal. What You’ll Learn: • Foundations of cyanotype printing • Creative ways to work with found natural objects • How time in nature helps us reconnect with ourselves • That every person holds an untapped well of creativity and artistry What You’ll Create: Each participant will receive pre-coated paper and cotton fabric to work with. All materials provided. Open to ages 16+. All teens must be accompanied by their caregiver. Rain Policy: In the event of rain, this class will be rescheduled. If we need to shift the date, you’ll have the option to transfer your registration or receive a refund (minus the 4% payment processing fee).
